Tom Hoge finishes with Even-par 70 in first round of the RSM Classic

In his first round at the RSM Classic, Tom Hoge hit 11 of 14 fairways and 11 of 18 greens in regulation, finishing at even-par for the tournament. Hoge finished his day tied for 91st at even par; Webb Simpson is in 1st at 7 under; Kyoung-Hoon Lee, Cameron Tringale, and Rhein Gibson are tied for 2nd at 6 under; and Hank Lebioda, Sebastián Muñoz, Nick Taylor, Rory Sabbatini, Alex Cejka, Tyler Duncan, Brian Harman, Scott Brown, and Scott Harrington are tied for 5th at 5 under.
Hoge got a bogey on the 415-yard par-4 second, getting on the green in 2 and three putting, moving Hoge to 1 over for the round.
On the par-4 fourth, Hoge's 186 yard approach to 3 feet set himself up for the birdie on the hole. This moved Hoge to even-par for the round.
On the 452-yard par-4 ninth, Hoge had a bogey after hitting the green in 3 and two putting, moving Hoge to 1 over for the round.
After a drive to the left side of the fairway on the 418-yard par-4 10th hole, Hoge had a 154 yard approach shot, setting himself up for the birdie. This moved Hoge to even for the round.
