Brice Garnett finishes with Even-par 70 in first round of the RSM Classic

In his first round at the RSM Classic, Brice Garnett hit 14 of 14 fairways and 13 of 18 greens in regulation, finishing at even-par for the tournament. Garnett finished his day tied for 91st at even par; Webb Simpson is in 1st at 7 under; Kyoung-Hoon Lee, Cameron Tringale, and Rhein Gibson are tied for 2nd at 6 under; and Hank Lebioda, Sebastián Muñoz, Nick Taylor, Rory Sabbatini, Alex Cejka, Tyler Duncan, Brian Harman, Scott Brown, and Scott Harrington are tied for 5th at 5 under.
Garnett got a double bogey on the 452-yard par-4 ninth, getting on the green in 4 and two putting, moving Garnett to 2 over for the round.
On the 418-yard par-4 10th hole, Garnett reached the green in 2 and sunk a 26-foot putt for birdie. This moved Garnett to 1 over for the round.
On the par-4 11th, Garnett's 114 yard approach to 11 feet set himself up for the birdie on the hole. This moved Garnett to even-par for the round.
After a drive to the right side of the fairway on the 408-yard par-4 13th hole, Garnett had a 153 yard approach shot, setting himself up for the birdie. This moved Garnett to 1 under for the round.
On the 470-yard par-4 18th, Garnett had a bogey after hitting the green in 3 and two putting, moving Garnett to even for the round.
