Bronson Burgoon shoots Even-par 70 in round one of the RSM Classic

Bronson Burgoon hit 10 of 18 greens in regulation during his first round at the RSM Classic, finishing at even for the tournament. Burgoon finished his day tied for 91st at even par; Webb Simpson is in 1st at 7 under; Kyoung-Hoon Lee, Cameron Tringale, and Rhein Gibson are tied for 2nd at 6 under; and Hank Lebioda, Sebastián Muñoz, Nick Taylor, Rory Sabbatini, Alex Cejka, Tyler Duncan, Brian Harman, Scott Brown, and Scott Harrington are tied for 5th at 5 under.
On the 204-yard par-3 third, Burgoon's tee shot went 175 yards to the left rough and his chip went 27 yards to the green where he rolled a two-putt for bogey. This moved him to 1 over for the round.
At the 429-yard par-4 fourth, Burgoon got on in 2 and missed his par putt from 3 feet, finishing with a 3-putt bogey. This moved Burgoon to 2 over for the round.
At the 179-yard par-3 sixth, Burgoon hit a tee shot 175 yards at the green, setting himself up for the 10-foot putt for birdie. This moved Burgoon to 1 over for the round.
After a drive to the left side of the fairway on the 425-yard par-4 11th hole, Burgoon had a 111 yard approach shot, setting himself up for the birdie. This moved Burgoon to even for the round.
