D.J. Trahan shoots 3-under 67 in round one of the RSM Classic

D.J. Trahan hit 14 of 18 greens in regulation during his first round at the RSM Classic, finishing at 3 under for the tournament. Trahan finished his day tied for 31st at 3 under; Webb Simpson is in 1st at 7 under; Kyoung-Hoon Lee, Cameron Tringale, and Rhein Gibson are tied for 2nd at 6 under; and Hank Lebioda, Sebastián Muñoz, Nick Taylor, Rory Sabbatini, Alex Cejka, Tyler Duncan, Brian Harman, Scott Brown, and Scott Harrington are tied for 5th at 5 under.
At the 204-yard par-3 third, Trahan hit a tee shot 206 yards at the green, setting himself up for the 10-foot putt for birdie. This moved Trahan to 1 under for the round.
At the par-5 seventh, Trahan chipped in his fourth shot from 12 yards off the green, scoring a birdie for the hole. This moved Trahan to 2 under for the round.
On the 452-yard par-4 ninth hole, Trahan reached the green in 2 and sunk a 18-foot putt for birdie. This moved Trahan to 3 under for the round.
