2021 Season
Weeks after winning the national championship with his Pepperdine Wave teammates, joined the Forme Tour and posted back-to-back top-fives. Missed only three cuts in eight starts to finish ninth on the final Points List to earn conditional 2022 Korn Ferry Tour membership.
-
Auburn University Club Invitational: Played another solid tournament but again came up short, finishing alone in second. Opened and closed with a pair of 65s at the Auburn University Club in early July and put pressure on eventual winner Philip Knowles by posting his 21-under score while Knowles was still on the course. Watched as Knowles took a one-shot lead to his 72nd hole, where made birdie to win by two shots.
-
L&J Golf Championship at Jennings Mill Country Club: Made his professional debut a solid performance, shooting four under-par rounds at Jennings Mill CC, including a 69-67 finish to end the Forme Tour inaugural tournament at 13-under, good for a T5 with Carter Jenkins, Alex Smalley and Peyton White.
-
Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada Q-School-USA West 2: Rolled in an 18-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole at The Wigwam’s Gold Course in early April, a putt that earned him a spot in a playoff with fellow amateur Blake Wagoner. On the first extra hole, the par-5 first, he was on the green in two shots and routinely two-putted from 20 feet for birdie to win the tournament when Wagoner was unable to match him. The victory earned him a full exemption for the entire 2021 Mackenzie Tour season
Amateur Highlights
- At Pepperdine, was a three-time All-West Coast Conference first-team selection and a two-time GCAA/Ping All-West Region honoree.
- In his final match as a collegian, at the 2021 NCAA Championship, won his match against Oklahoma’s Ben Lorenz, two-putting from 35 feet on the 18th hole at Grayhawk GC. The match victory clinched the national title for Pepperdine a year after the Waves, the No. 1-ranked team in the country in 2020, weren’t able to compete for a title because of the pandemic.
- His four wins at Pepperdine tied a school record jointly held by Sahith Theegala, Kevin Marsh, and Jim Johnson.
- Two-time medalist at the West Coast Conference Championship (2018, 2021), two of his four career college titles to go with his win at the 2018 weather-shortened Prestige at PGA West (defeated Norman Xiong by a stroke) and the 2018 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate (shared with Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff).
- At the 2017 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, made holes-in-one in consecutive tournament rounds. First came in the second round, on the 192-yard fourth hole at Royal Oaks CC, his 4-iron dropping in the hole. The following day, in the final round of the 54-hole tournament, hit a 7-iron from 179 yards on No. 8. Same result. A unique part of his accomplishment came with all his teammates watching as the team plays each hole at once against their opponents.
- Was a four-time All-Orange County and All-South Coast League first-team selection. Was also the 2015 Orange County Register Player of the Year.
- In high school, was the 2015 and 2016 South Coast League champion. Was a 2015 CIF Southern Section Regional individual champion and regional champion. His high school team won three South Coast League titles.
