AVONDALE, La. --A Monday finish is set for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans as heavy and sustained rains continued to saturate TPC Louisiana on Sunday. The event will be shortened to 54 holes. Weather permitting, play is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. CT.
Earlier Sunday, third-round play was suspended at 10:08 a.m. CT. Third-round play was suspended Saturday and resumed Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT.
Brian Stuard and Jhonattan Vegas share the partial third-round lead at 13-under par over the squishy par 72, 7,412-yard Pete Dye layout.
Scott Stallings, Bobby Wyatt and last week's winner at the Valero Texas Open, Charley Hoffman were all 6-under par on their respective rounds before play was halted. Wyatt sits just one shot back, while Hoffman and Stallings went into the clubhouse for the delay three shots behind the co-leaders.
