It seems like a lot of people saw that one coming.
Adam Scott, the third most-picked player this week at PGA National, rode the momentum from a strong Northern Trust Open across the country and back into the winner’s circle for the first time since 2014. For the more-than-50 percent of gamers who had the Aussie in your lineups, congratulations. You didn’t distance yourself from the pack this week, but keeping stride when chalk wins can be just as good (just ask any of the 45.5 percent who didn’t have Scott this week).
Scott was the week’s top scorer, and by a wide margin for a week that includes the full slate of scoring. The Aussie was strong across the board, finishing sixth in Driving and first in both Approach and Scoring. Even his 37th-place mark in Short Game was solid. He finished just 20 points behind top-scoring Stuart Appleby.

We had a bit of a shakeup in the PGATOUR.COM Expert Picks standings as both of last week’s leaders – Sean Martin and Jonathan Wall -- only had three players qualify for the weekend rounds at PGA National. That opened the door for fantasy guru Rob Bolton to climb atop the standings while moving to 219th overall in the near-10,000-person league. Rob’s weekend moves were forced by a pair of missed cuts, but both Freddie Jacobson and Luke Donald netted him more than 100 points in their two rounds of work.
In the PGA TOUR Experts league, RICSTEW#5’s lineup of Adam Scott (No. 1 scorer), Sergio Garcia (No. 2), Billy Horschel (No. 4) and Rickie Fowler (No. 7) was enough to place him first for the week, without even needing a substitute.
In the season long race, IrishLinks86 increased his advantage over the rest of the field. With three of the top-10 scorers in play, he pushed his lead to 252 points as we continue the season’s second leg.
