Here are some of the players you'll see on the Golf Channel's coverage of Thursday's first round
2010 Valero Texas Open champion Adam Scott was one of seven players to play all four rounds under par for the week at TPC San Antonio. This was the first time Scott accomplished this feat on TOUR since the 2007 BMW Championship (finished 4th). Scott converted nine putts from beyond 10 feet for the week ranking T-6th for putts made over 10 feet. In particular, he made five of eight putts when putting from 10 to 15 feet (63 percent -- 1st in the field) compared to his 2010 season average of 26 percent (157th on TOUR).
Geoff Ogilvy made an impressive Sunday run on the back 9 at last weeks Masters Tournament shooting a 5-under-par 31 to finish T-4th. Ogilvys back 9 run included five consecutive birdies on holes 12-16 (tying his career best streak on TOUR - 8th time accomplishing this feat). Ogilvy needed just 10 putts on his final nine holes including seven consecutive one-putts on his final seven holes.
Currently 28th in the FedExCup standings on the strength of three top 10s in his nine starts of the 2011 season, Jimmy Walker is looking to improve on his 2010 Valero Texas Open performance where he carded a top-5 finish (T-3rd). Walker currently leads the 2011 PGA TOUR for total hole-outs from off the green with 11. Walker's longest recorded hole-out was from 71 yards on the fourth hole Saturday at the Honda Classic.
