TERMAS DE RIO HONDO, Santiago del Estero, Argentina – Franco Scorzato, a 21-year old from Argentina, and Chapman Herwood, a 30-year old from Texas, posted rounds of 4-under 68 to tie for first at the Monday Qualifier for the PGA TOUR Latinoamérica’s Termas de Rio Hondo Invitational. Scorzato and Herwood led a group of seven players who secured tournament berths through the 18-hole qualifier played at the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Termas de Rio Hondo Golf Club.

Scorzato, who earned conditional status by tying for 37th at the Qualifying Tournament played last November in Argentina, will be making his second PGA TOUR Latinoamérica start of the season and his fifth career start overall. The young man who hails from Las Praderas de Lujan Golf Club will also be seeking to make his first cut on Tour.

Herwood, who also earned conditional status with a tie for 35th at the Mexico Qualifying Tournament, will be making his first start in a PGA TOUR-affiliated Tour. The man who played college golf at the University of Texas at Tyler turned pro in 2016.
