Birdied the second playoff hole after hitting his second shot over bushes and between grandstands at the par-4 18th, converting a 20-foot birdie putt from just off the green. Birdied the third playoff hole, the drivable par-4 first, and defeated Kim for his first career Korn Ferry Tour victory at the Lake Charles Championship, earning the first Korn Ferry Tour victory by a PGA TOUR University alum.
- Chitimacha Louisiana Open presented by MISTRAS: Stood solo second after 54 holes and took a two-stroke lead on the back nine in the final round, but fell to T3 and missed a playoff by one stroke after a double bogey at the par-4 13th followed by a drive into the penalty area at the par-4 18th, which led to a bogey. 2021 Season
Won his first professional event, The Fuzzy Zoeller Classic, and moved to the top of the Forme Tour points list, never relinquishing the No. 1 position the rest of the way on his way to a Points List triumph and Player of the Year honors three months after graduating from college. In addition to his victory, added a runner-up finish and one additional top-10 in his eight starts to earn 2022 Korn Ferry Tour membership, exempt into every open tournament.
-
The Fuzzy Zoeller Classic at Covered Bridge Golf Club: Played solid golf all week at Fuzzy’s Covered Bridge GC in Southern Indiana in mid-August. Opened 63-65 and held a share of the 36-hole lead. Moved three ahead with 18 holes to play after an 8-under 63. Led by as many as six strokes during the final round but watched as A.J. Crouch continued to put on the pressure. Eventually shared a short-lived two-way tie for the lead but regained control with a birdie at No. 17, a hole Crouch bogeyed. Even with a Crouch birdie at the closing 18th, made a routine par on the final hole to secure the one-shot victory, his first professional win in only his fifth start.
-
Bolingbrook Golf Club Invitational: Continued his impressive play early in his professional career, enjoying four under-par rounds at Bolingbrook GC in July. Rounds of 70-66-71-68 led to a T6 performance, with Dylan Meyer, Andrew Yun and Matt McCarty.
-
L&J Golf Championship at Jennings Mill Country Club: In his professional debut, all he did was open and close with a pair of 66s that included a double eagle in the first round. It was a performance that eventually led him to a tie for the lead at the end of regulation at Jennings Mill CC. Eventually watched as Samuel Saunders made par on the first playoff hole to win the Forme Tour’s inaugural event. Runner-up showing came by virtue of four par-or-better rounds. He hit a 7-iron approach on the par-5 fifth hole in the opening round that went in the hole for his second career albatross.
