Launched earlier this year on TOUR, Bettinardi's Antidote putters are officially coming to retail in a new series consisting of three unique shapes that feature the company's Variable Weight System (VWS) technology on the top portion of the head.
To generate a consistent roll on the putting surface, Robert Bettinardi, the company's founder, added two adjustable weights that raise the center of gravity to improve "end over end" rotation of the golf ball at impact. The design differs from most of the putters currently found on the market that offer adjustable heel and toe weights positioned in the sole.
The interchangeable weights are made from aluminum (5g), stainless steel (10g), and copper (15g), which allows for the overall weight to be adjusted to 340, 350 and 360 grams.
Each putter in the lineup is created from a soft carbon steel and comes in a carbon matte black finish that's designed to add an additional layer of durability.
The Model 1 and Model 3 (right-handed only) are blade-style designs, while Model 2 (available in a center shaft and left-handed) is a square-shaped mallet.
