COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS
Dubbed "Hard Work U," by The Wall Street Journal, College of the Ozarks, a fully-accredited, four-year liberal arts college, offers deserving students the advantage of a quality, Christian education. The College, located just south of Branson, charges no tuition. Instead, all students work on campus each semester to defray the cost of education.
Student jobs range from working in the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen to milking cows at the campus dairy. Upon completion of the Work Education Program, the College guarantees to meet the entire cost of education. Debt is openly discouraged and no federal, state or private loans are made. Because C of O was created for the purpose of providing "the advantages of a Christian education for youth of both sexes, especially those found worthy but who are without sufficient means to procure such training, all students who are admitted must demonstrate financial need, academic ability, sound character and a willingness to work." Offering more than 40 majors and minors, C of O provides the perfect environment for scholastic endeavors. Working for an education is the continuing distinctive tradition of the campus. For more than 100 years, this unique institution has educated the head, heart, and hands of countless young people.
