As an official PGA TOUR Champions event, the Ascension Charity Classic presented by Emerson is in good company when it comes to charity.
The PGA TOUR, its players and tournaments support more than 3,000 charities. These local and national organizations affect the lives of millions in the communities where we live and play. In 2017 more than $180 million was generated to charitable causes as a part of these initiatives, bringing the all-time total generated for charity by the PGA TOUR to $2.65 billion since 1938.
The Ascension Charity Classic presented by Emerson is proud to continue the PGA TOUR’s philanthropic focus by designating funds in support of North St. Louis County communities and the tournament’s three primary beneficiaries, Marygrove, a residential treatment and support facility for children and teens struggling with debilitating emotional and behavioral issues resulting from abuse, neglect and other trauma; the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis; and Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis.
The Ascension Charity Classic officially kicked off its countdown to the inaugural tournament, scheduled for September 6 – 12, 2021, by giving $75,000 to each of the event’s primary beneficiaries. The $225,000 total marked the Ascension Charity Classic’s first charitable donation in the event’s mission to provide critical funds to support St. Louis and north county for years to come.
