Watson one of five to withdraw from LMILOG

April 18, 2012

Three players have new partners and another two-man team had to withdraw completely on the eve of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf.

Tom Watson withdrew Wednesday with an injury to his right arm, leaving Andy North looking for a partner. So North will now team with the first alternate Bobby Clampett. Watson was only able to play one round last week at the Encompass Insurance Pro-Am of Tampa Bay,

Tommy Armour III, who played one hole in Tampa last week before having to withdraw, is still out with a shoulder injury. That means Corey Pavin will now be playing with Gary Hallberg.

Craig Stadler's partner Scott Hoch has also withdrawn and he was replaced by Mike Goodes. In addition, teammates Nick Price and Mark O'Meara have both withdrawn with a left elbow and rib injury, respectively.
