Liberty Mutual announces family-friendly activities

SAVANNAH, Ga.- With less than a week to go until the Champions Tour's premier all-team event returns to the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa on April 16-22, officials have highlighted several family-friendly initiatives that fans can look forward to at the 35th annual event.

FREE YOUTH ADMISSION: In an effort to make the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf a more affordable entertainment option for families, the tournament will once again allow fans ages 18 and under to be admitted free of charge with a ticket-holding adult. Additionally, free admission for all spectators will be offered on Monday, April 16 and Tuesday, April 17 to the Demaret Division competition for players age 70+ featuring some of golf's most decorated players including Gary Player, Lee Trevino, Billy Casper, Gene Littler and more.

TROON FAMILY FUN ZONE: On Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21, spectators are encouraged to visit the Troon Family Fun Zone, which will be located at the north end of The Club at Savannah Harbor driving range. Spectators can get fitted for clubs by companies such as Callaway, Nike, Bridgestone and Titleist and take a shot on the family-friendly Big Break course for a chance to win rounds of golf, merchandise, hotel stays and more. A "Ladies & Legends" golf clinic featuring two of the Club's PGA-certified instructors, Dana Schultz and Erika Smith, will take place on Friday and Saturday at noon and a special junior golf clinic will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday. While visiting the Troon Family Fun Zone, fans can also have a video analysis of their golf swing performed for a fee.

SUNRISE SERVICE: The Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf will host a non-denominational sunrise service prior to the final round of the event on Sunday, April 22. The service will take place at 7:15 a.m. on No. 18 green with complimentary refreshments to follow and is open to the public. Gates will be open at 6:30 a.m. and complimentary admission will be offered until 7:15 a.m. Anyone attending the service is welcome to stay for the final round of the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf free of charge.

FREE CONCERT: In conjunction with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Legends of Golf, a community concert in Savannah's historic Forsyth Park will be held at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, April 20. The concert, free of charge and open to the public courtesy of Liberty Mutual Insurance, will feature southern rock legends The Charlie Daniels Band and country stars Little Big Town.

Tickets are still available with special advance prices starting at $15. Weeklong ticket packages are $75 and include two Good Any Day grounds tickets and one ticket with access to the River Club, a climate-controlled hospitality pavilion offering a variety of food for purchase, premium cash bar, large screen televisions and views of the 1st and 10thtee on Friday-Sunday.
