Hospital Player Visit
Tournament officials announced today that Nationwide Children's Hospital will host three Nationwide Tour professionals for a hospital visit on Tuesday, July 28 at 2:30 PM.
Attending will be Kyle Reifers who won his first two events as a professional, including the 2006 Chattanooga Classic on the Nationwide Tour where he carded a final round 61 after Monday qualifying. A native of Dublin Ohio, Reifers caddied at Muirfield Village Golf Club while attending Bishop Watterson High School. He was the 2004 Ohio Amateur Champion and ended his collegiate career at Wake Forest in June of 2006 as the No. 1 Ranked Amateur in the United States. So far in 2009 Reifers has recorded two top-10 finishes on the Nationwide Tour and is currently 31st on the money list.
Ryan Armour was a First Team All-Big Ten selection for the Ohio State University golf team in 1995 and 1998. He recorded two individual tournament wins as a Buckeye and in 1998 was an OSU Scholar Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten selection. Armour turned professional in 1999 and recorded a career-best T2 finish on the Nationwide Tour at the 2005 Jacob's Creek Open Championship. He is currently 38th on the Nationwide Tour money list with two top-10 finishes so far in 2009.
Cincinnati native, Jim Herman claimed six collegiate and amateur victories while at the University of Cincinnati. He turned professional in 2000 and recorded his best Nationwide Tour finish at the 2009 Michael Hill New Zealand Open where he placed 3rd. Herman has two top-10 finishes so far this season and is currently 37th on the Nationwide Tour money list.
