    Top collegians earn invitations to
    Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational

    Tournament officials are excited to formally announce the creation of a new and unique program in central Ohio sports, whereby 100 percent of all general admission ticket revenue will be returned to charity. The Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational Charity Ticket Program is designed to assist participating non-profit organizations make a difference in the central Ohio community.

    "We are able to offer this program thanks to the tremendous support of our title sponsor, Nationwide and our other major corporate partners who have provided the tournament with the financial foundation that allows us to give back to local charities in this manner," said the tournament's Executive Director Kip Eriksen.

    The Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational Charity Ticket Program not only  provides participating non-profit entities with 100 percent of the profits from all tickets sales generated by, or designated for, their organization. It also includes an additional $20,000 bonus pool which will be distributed at the end of the year and allow the non-profit organizations to benefit above and beyond what their own organization generates. Each of the more than 31 contributing companies receives customized order forms as well as an internet presence at  Customers purchasing tickets online, or at the gate during tournament week, will be required to select a charity from the available list.     The inaugural Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational raised $482,600 in 2007 for charitable organizations in central Ohio. That total marked the largest charitable donation raised by a first-year Nationwide Tour event in the Tour's 18-year history.  The new Charity Ticket Program puts The Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational in an ideal position to increase their record setting first year amount.

    The Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational is owned and operated by Champions of the Community, Inc., an Ohio non-profit corporation.
