|Bogota's Country Club is ready for the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship 2012|
Colombia's oldest golf course, founded in 1917 in the Country Club de Bogota, is getting ready to receive sixteen PGA Tour champions and 61 Nationwide champions, who will be playing in the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship. The championship marks the start of the 2012 Nationwide season, which at season end will award "The 25" leading money winners with TOUR cards.

The Championship will be played in the "Los Fundadores" course of the Country Club de Bogota. This course started with nine holes in 1917, and was expanded to 18 holes in 1946 with a course design by John Van Kleek. This is a Par 72 course located 2,600 meters above sea level, with an average temperature of 15° C (59° F)
The Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship has a purse worth $600.000 with a winning share of $108.000. The event will have the participation of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who will participate in tournament activities, including the Wednesday, Feb. 15th Pro-Am, featuring Nationwide Tour professionals, government officials, Pacific Rubiales executives, clients and guests.
The proceeds of the Championship will benefit a number of charities and foundations, among them the Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative (CGSGI), the Formula Sonrisas Foundation of Nascar Racer Juan Pablo Montoya, and the Camilo Villegas Fund.
