PORTLAND, Ore. -- The final putt has dropped at the inaugural WinCo Foods Portland Open presented by Kraft and the first 25 of 50 PGA TOUR cards available via the Web.com Tour have been locked up.
Carlos Ortiz, who has held the top spot since his win at the El Bosque Mexico Championship in mid-April, won the Regular Season finale to finish No. 1. His third win earns him fully-exempt status on the PGA TOUR in 2014-2015. He will enter the finals as No. 1 on the money list. No. 1 at the conclusion of the Web.com Tour Finals will also earn fully-exempt status, as well as a spot in the 2015 PLAYERS Championship.
An additional 25 cards will be on the line at the four-event series, which begin Thursday with the Hotel Fitness Championship in Fort Wayne, Indiana. These 25 cards will be based on money earned in the Finals. The 50 card earners will join the PGA TOUR for the 2014-15 season, which begins in October.
Carlos Ortiz, Andrew Putnam, Zack Sucher, Adam Hadwin, Justin Thomas, Blayne Barber, Tony Finau, Jon Curran, Daniel Berger, Jonathan Randolph, Max Homa, Mark Hubbard, Byron Smith and Roger Sloan will be rookies on the PGA TOUR.
Kyle Reifers was the only player to break into the top 25 on the final day. He birdied the 17th hole in his final round to finish T21 for the week and knock out No. 25 bubble boy Sebastian Cappelen, who missed the cut. The margin of difference was $1,463.
