Two events remain to secure position in the Web.com Tour Championshiptext sizeAugust 13, 2013
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – There are two events left for players to move inside the top 75 on the Web.com Tour Regular Season money list and secure their position in the field for the 2013 Web.com Tour Championship. The News Sentinel Open presented by Pilot and the Cox Classic presented by Lexus of Omaha are the final opportunities for players to punch their tickets to the Web.com Tour Championship, which will be held on Dye’s Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., Sept.23-29.
The 2013 Web.com Tour Championship will feature the top-75 money winners off the Web.com Tour Regular Season money list after the Cox Classic presented by Lexus of Omaha and No. 126-200 on the FedExCup Points list after the conclusion of the Wyndham Championship.
This is also the last week players can qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs on the PGA TOUR. Notable players in the field at the Wyndham Championship looking to move inside the top 125 in the FedExCup standings and secure a spot in the Playoffs are Jacksonville Beach resident Bud Cauley (No. 130), Ricky Barnes (No. 139) and Trevor Immelman (No. 148). If these players are unable to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs they will be eligible to compete in the Web.com Tour Finals, including the Web.com Tour Championship, with hopes of earning their PGA TOUR card for the 2013-14 season.
Here’s a look at players ranked No. 70 through 90 on the Web.com Tour regular season money list with two weeks remaining to qualify for the Web.com Tour Championship:
