WICHITA, Ks. -- It is believed that a tornado touched down on parts of Crestview Country Club Saturday April 14. There was very significant damage to many trees and debris is scattered throughout the courses. Both the North and South courses remain closed until further notice.
Most of the damage is concentrated on holes 10, 11, 12, 13, and 16 on the South Course and on 3 and 4 on the North Course.
These areas of the course have suffered substantial damage but initial reports are that the damage on the North Course, which is the tournament course, will not affect play for the Nationwide Tour when the tournament comes to Wichita June 21-24.
