  • McIlroy looking for third consecutive victory

Rory McIlroy arrives at Valhalla Golf Club in search of his third consecutive PGA TOUR victory. Winning this week would put McIlroy in a select group of players who have won three consecutive PGA TOUR starts since 1980. McIlroy won his third major title at last month's Open Championship. then claimed his first World Golf Championship at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

This is the second time McIlroy has won two consecutive starts. He also won the 2012 Deutsche Bank Championship and BMW Championship before finishing 10th at the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola. McIlroy won three times in four starts in late 2012. He won the PGA Championship, then finished T24 at The Barclays before going back-to-back at the Deutsche Bank and BMW.
