Chris Haack, in his 18th season as the University of Georgia men’s golf coach, has guided the Bulldogs to two national championships and seven Southeastern Conference crowns, In April of 2012, Bubba Watson, an All-American for Haack in 2000, became the first Bulldog to win a professional major as he captured the Masters title. And in 2013, six former Bulldogs -- Watson, Erik Compton, Russell Henley, Chris Kirk, Brian Harman and Harris English -- advanced to the FedExCup Playoffs. In 2013-14, you’ll see as many as 11 former Bulldogs roaming the fairways of PGA TOUR events, tops on TOUR.

In honor of Saturday’s University Day at the Farmers Insurance Open, where the field’s alma maters will be highlighted, here is a scouting report and some musings about the six former UGA letterman in the Farmers Insurance Open field from Haack.

Erik Compton

One of the best ball strikers I ever had. He would walk out on the range and hit everyone else's club and stripe every shot no matter what kind of clubs or shafts they had, and then would head in to the Boyd Golf Center and take a nap.

Random Haack Fact: Once set his apartment on fire by leaving lit candles burning during a date. When asked to confirm after his round at Torrey Pines on Thursday, Compton explained: “We left when my roommate came home, and when we closed the door, the wind blew a newspaper onto the candle and started the fire. It almost burned the entire apartment complex down, four firetrucks had to come."

Russell Henley

One of the best putters I ever coached along with Chris Kirk and Brendon Todd. Great athlete and could play hoops with the best of them.

Random Haack Facts: Eats more Dairy Queen blizzards than anyone on the planet. Loved hiding in small areas and jumping out and scaring me all the time and would just belly laugh about it.

Kevin Kisner

Might be the most confident player I ever had -- nothing fazed him and never saw a shot he didn't like.  One of the greatest attitudes on the golf course I ever had, never gets mad, just keeps playing golf.

Random Haack Fact: Talked so much we gave him a brick to talk to while he was playing.

Hudson Swafford

Can throw a football like Matthew Stafford and was a tremendous baseball player growing up.

Random Haack Fact: Once asked a pizza guy on the phone how big the 12-inch pizza was and he may still be unsure!

Brendon Todd

Nicknamed "Grease T" because he is so greasy getting balls up and down out of nowhere.  It spilled over to cards or any games, he was the luckiest guy ever.

Random Haack Fact: As an example of how lucky Brendon was, I took the whole deck of cards and threw them out the window of our team van on a road trip because he was winning so much.

Bubba Watson

Bubba truly has a big heart and not afraid to cry, he’s very generous but doesn't want publicity about it. Endowed a scholarship in his wife's name (Angie Ball) for women's basketball at Georgia where she played for four years. Great athlete that could dunk a basketball, throw a baseball from center field to home plate like a bullet, and throw a golf ball further than anyone you've ever seen.

Random Haack Fact: All Bubba ate in college were hamburgers and drank Coke but he's now is a health nut.
