ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. -- The (very) early lead is 3 under at The McGladrey Classic, where past champion Heath Slocum and Briny Baird share the top spot after play was delayed for nearly 2 hours earlier because of fog.

Now that the fog has burned off, here's a look at who to watch for in the afternoon wave (all times ET):

Sean O'Hair, 1:20 p.m.: O'Hair has finished in the top 20 in each of his last two trips here. He's also coming off ties for 26th and 15th in his first two starts of the 2013-14 season.

Aaron Baddeley, 1:20 p.m.: The Aussie missed 14 cuts in 24 starts last season but is coming off a fifth-place finish at the CIMB Classic. This is Baddeley's first appearance here since 2010.

Stewart Cink, 1:40 p.m.: The 2009 Open champion has struggled in two trips here, but like Baddeley is coming off a good week at the CIMB Classic, where he finished 11th.

Matt Kuchar, 1:50 p.m.: The highest ranked player in the field at No. 8 in the world, Kuchar is coming off a season in which he had eight top 10s, including two wins. He has also never finished outside the top 25 in two trips here.

Davis Love III, 1:50 p.m.: The tournament host said earlier this week that he feels more prepared to play this year compared to last. But he still tied for fourth a year ago.

Tommy Gainey, 2 p.m.: The defending champion has struggled since winning here a year ago with a final-round 60. He missed 14 of 28 cuts in 2013 and has missed both his cuts in the 2013-14 season.
