SAN MARTIN, Calif. -- The final group is on the course at CordeValle Golf Club for the final round of the Frys.com Open. Brooks Koepka made par on the first hole to maintain his two-shot lead. He has plenty of pursuers, though.
Six players -- Jimmy Walker, Vijay Singh, Robert Garrigus, George McNeill and Jason Kokrak -- are tied for second at 13 under par. Japan's two young stars are both 2 under par for the day and in contention. Ryo Ishikawa, 22, has birdied two of his first three holes to reach 12 under par; he regained his TOUR card with three consecutive top-10 finishes in the Web.com Tour Finals. Hideki Matsuyama, who played last week's Presidents Cup, has birdied two of his first four holes to reach 11 under par.
Max Homa continues his strong play in his pro debut. The 2013 NCAA individual champion who played collegiate golf at nearby Cal-Berkeley made birdie on his first hole and is 11 under par. He's tied for eighth place; a top-10 finish would earn him a start in next week's Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
