DUBLIN, Ohio -- Brandt Snedeker and Hunter Mahan never trailed and beat Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel, 2-up, in their Saturday four-ball match.


Snedeker made birdie on the third hole and the Americans never looked back. Snedeker added two more birdies over the next four holes to pad the lead to 2-up as they went on to win four holes in all. Oosthuizen and Schwartzel, meanwhile, dropped their second straight match and could never catch Snedeker and Mahan after falling behind early, winning just one of the final 10 holes.


Brandt Snedeker. He had five of the team's six birdies and set the tone early by winning three of the first seven holes.
