Barclays featured groups, Rds. 1 & 2

Tiger Woods leads the group of FedExCup hopefuls at The Barclays.

In the FedExCup Playoffs, the groupings for the first two rounds are determined by a player's position in the FedExCup rankings. The top three players are in one group, the next three are another group, and so on.

Here are the top four groups going into this week's FedExCup Playoffs opener, The Barclays, at Liberty National. (FedExCup ranking in parentheses):

TIGER WOODS (1), MATT KUCHAR (2), BRANDT SNEDEKER (3) -- Woods enters the Playoffs at No. 1 in points for the fifth time and will seek his third FedExCup title. Snedeker is the defending FedExCup champ. Rd. 1 tee time: 8:16 a.m. ET off No. 10 tee; Rd. 2 tee time: 1:06 p.m. ET off No. 1 tee

PHIL MICKELSON (4). BILL HAAS (5), BILLY HORSCHEL (6) -- Mickelson has reached the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola in every year of the Playoffs. Haas won the FedExCup title two years ago. Horschel is making his Playoffs debut. Rd. 1 tee time: 1:06 p.m. ET of No. 1 tee; Rd. 2 tee time: 8:16 a.m. ET off No. 10 tee.

JUSTIN ROSE (7), JORDAN SPIETH (8), HENRIK STENSON (9) -- The 20-year-old Spieth comes in with plenty of momentum, having come close to winning his second PGA TOUR title of the year at Wyndham before losing in a playoff. Rd. 1 tee time: 8:05 a.m. ET off No. 10 tee; Rd. 2 tee time: 12:05 p.m. ET off No. 1 tee

KEEGAN BRADLEY (10), ADAM SCOTT (11), BOO WEEKLEY (12) -- Scott, this year's Masters champ, has reached the TOUR Championship the last three years but has never finished inside the top 10 in points. Rd. 1 tee time: 12:05 p.m. ET off No. 1 tee; Rd. 2 tee time: 8:05 a.m. ET off No. 10 tee.

Notes: PGA champ Jason Dufner is playing with Jason Day and Kevin Streelman ... Wyndham winner Patrick Reed is playing with Hunter Mahan and 2010 FedExCup champ Jim Furyk ... Rory McIlroy is playing with Charley Hoffman and Scott Piercy ... Jeff Overton, who at No. 100 in points is this week's bubble boy, is playing with Geoff Ogilvy (99) and James Hahn (101).
