Glover bumped into her swing while checking on her early in the morning. Glover, who started the week at No. 99 in the FedExCup, shot 3-over 73 in the first round.

“I’m going to play this week, next week and see if I can get into Boston (the Deutsche Bank Championship),” Glover said. The top 100 in the FedExCup standings after next week’s The Barclays advance to the Deutsche Bank.

He wore sneaker-style shoes Thursday because the larger toe box took pressure off his toe. Glover made bogey on four of his first seven holes. A bogey at the par-5 15th dropped him to 5 over for the day. He made his first two birdies of the day at Nos. 17 and 18.
