Winds change course at Muirfield

GULLANE, Scotland -- Wind from the east to northeast will present a different challenge for the players during the second round of The Open Championship.

On Thursday, the breezes came from the west to southwest. The weekend's wind will also blow in from the east in the 10-15 mph range.

The abundant sunshine that has scorched skin remains on an already toasty Friday but will make way for misty starts to the final two rounds. But in each case there should be some brighter spots during the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 70s.
