Stenson, the 2009 PLAYERS Championship winner, shot a second consecutive 70 Friday to sit at 2-under 140. He’s tied with Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood for low score among players who have completed 36 holes.
Zach Johnson, the first-round leader after a 66, is just getting his second round underway. Spain’s Rafael Cabrera-Bello is at 4 under par for the championship after playing eight holes of his second round. Miguel Angel Jimenez was 3 under par after nine holes of his second round. Dustin Johnson made a 10-foot eagle putt at the par-5 fifth hole to also reach 3 under.
