GULLANE, Scotland -- One of the many neat things about The Open Championship is the fact that you can walk up off the street and buy tickets each day.
And those walk-up patrons on this warm, sun-kissed day were greeted by something uniquely Scottish, too -- a enterprising teenage boy and girl, both dressed in kilts, playing the bagpipes. Their empty cases were sure to be filled with spare change by the end of the day.
The Open ticket prices are pretty reasonable, too. Now that the championship has begun, the tickets cost 75 pounds (which is roughly $114) for adults and 30 pounds ($46) for those aged 16-21.
