Play begins, rain approaching

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The rain is on the way but the final round of the Wells Fargo Championship got under way as scheduled at 6:45 a.m.

Scattered light showers will increase Sunday morning and become a steady rain in the afternoon. Heavy downpours are possible, particularly in the afternoon and evening.

Up to 2 inches of rain is possible by Monday night. Temperatures on Sunday will remain in the 50s and the wind will be in the 15-20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph.
