EAGLE'S NEST: Watch the highlight above as Haas holes out for eagle.
ORLANDO, Fla. -- With the exception of 2010, Bill Haas hasn't had a top 25 in the Florida Swing since 2007.
The Sunshine State has never been Haas' favorite -- Bermudagrass and wind have never suited his game particularly well, he said. Until Thursday, anyway.
Haas has three birdies and an eagle through his first 10 holes at Bay Hill, where he's moved to within two of Justin Rose's lead.
The 2011 FedExCup champion has missed just one fairway and hit every green so far, taking just 15 putts in the process.
On the par-5 sixth, he didn't even need his putter. Haas holed out from 117 yards for eagle.
Two holes later, Haas hit his approach to 2 feet to set up another birdie, and on No. 10 he added one more, rolling in a 15-footer.
Others making a move in the afternoon wave? John Huh, who is 4 under though eight holes, and Thorbjorn Olesen, who is 3 under through 13 holes.
A number of others, including Vijay Singh and Hunter Mahan, are at 2 under.
