ARDMORE, Pa. -- The threat of severe weather in the area has lifted and play has resumed in the first round of the 113th U.S. Open.
Players were sent back on the golf course about 30 minutes after play was suspended. The horn sounded at 6:55 p.m. ET. The 45-minute delay was the second of the day for a total of four hours and 13 minutes.
In case anyone is wondering, sunset on this marathon day wiill come at 8:30 p.m.
