SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Now they're all chasing Phil Mickelson.
Mickelson, who teased 59 before settling for a 60 to match his career-low round on the PGA TOUR, has a four-shot lead at TPC Scottsdale, where Ryan Palmer, Brandt Snedeker, Padraig Harrington and Ted Potter Jr. were all overshadowed. They're all tied for second.
Snedeker has been on a roll since the season began, finishing third in the season-opener at Kapalua before tying for second last week at Torrey Pines. Of his 12 rounds this season, 10 have been in the 60s.
Six others, meanwhile, are another stroke back at 6 under after the morning wave. Among them: Brian Gay and Bill Haas. Gay of course is coming off a victory at the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation two weeks ago.
