Woods continues to extend lead

LA JOLLA, Calif. -- Tiger Woods is cruising on the back nine at Torrey Pines during the third round of the Farmers Insurance Open.

The six-time champion just birdied the par-5 13th hole to extend his lead to six strokes. Woods, who has played the par 5s in 11 under so far this week,, is working on a remarkable 43rd sub-par round in 50 trips around Torrey Pines.

Woods owns the record for the 54-hole lead at the Farmers Insurance Open of eight strokes in his 2008 victory. Nick Watney, Brad Fritsch and Josh Teater are his nearest competitors at 9 under.

As the leaders get closer to the 54-hole finish line, the fourth round of the Farmers Insurance Open has begun.
