LA JOLLA, Calif. -- According to Mark Russell, the PGA TOUR's vice president of rules, competition and administration, the waiting game at Torrey Pines will continue.
"The moment I let all these golfers go home it will clear up," Russell told CBS. "If we can play any golf at all, it would be tremendous. But we are fogged in."
The third round of the Farmers Insurance Open was originally scheduled to begin at 10:20 a.m. ET (7:20 a.m. PT). But with the exception of five minutes when play briefly began and stopped, things have been in a holding pattern.
