Nick Watney wears a red, white and
blue ribbon in support of those affected by Superstorm
Sandy.
SHENZHEN, China -- The International Federation of PGA Tours
provided players at the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions
with red, white and blue ribbons to wear in recognition and support
of those affected by Hurricane-turned-Superstorm Sandy in the
United States, which has claimed at least 75 lives and affected
millions. While many U.S. players and their caddies donned the
ribbons -- Nick Watney and Brandt Snedeker, for example -- so did a
variety of international players who hail from outside the United
States, such as Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell, England's Luke
Donald and Ireland's Shane Lowry.
