In addition, the field features 13 Ryder Cuppers -- 11 from the U.S. team and Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell from the victorious European side. McDowell won the World Challenge in 2010, beating the host Tiger Woods, who rebounded and earned his record fifth title last year.
The event, which will be presented by Northwestern Mutual, will be played Nov. 28-Dec. 2 at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif. The winner receives $1 million and all proceeds benefit the college-access programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation.
Woods' other Ryder Cup teammates in the field are Keegan Bradley, Jason Dufner, Dustin Johnson, Zach Johnson, Matt Kuchar, Steve Stricker and Jim Furyk, who won the World Challenge in 2009. Rounding out the field are Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, Bo Van Pelt and Nick Watney.
"We are extremely excited about the depth and talent of our field, and are looking forward to another exciting tournament," Woods said in the announcement on the Tiger Woods Foundation website. "Northwestern Mutual has been a great partner to my Foundation over the years, and we are pleased they will take on the role of presenting sponsor."
This year's field has combined for 19 PGA TOUR wins led by Woods' three. Other multiple winners in the field are Snedeker, Mahan, Dufner and Johnson with two each.
