KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Bo Van Pelt moved atop the
leaderboard in his CIMB Classic title defense Saturday with a
9-under 62 that would have been lower if not for a double bogey on
the closing hole at The MINES Resort. Van Pelt rattled off five
consecutive birdies on holes 8-12 and 11 overall Saturday. He
shares the 54-hole lead with Robert Garrigus, who closed his third
round with three birdies to match Van Pelt at 16 under. One behind
the co-leaders is Chris Kirk with Brendon de Jonge and Jbe' Kruger
checking in another shot back at 14 under. Tiger Woods, who charged
to the top of the leaderboard early with five birdies on the front
nine, struggled down the stretch, going 3 over on the back nine.
