Scott Piercy likely won't win the CIMB CLassic, but he's putting
together a memorable finish. Piercy, 33, opened with five birdies
on his first nine holes in his final round at the MINES Resort and
Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, to move into the top 10. He has 15
birdies and an eagle in his past 36 holes, having carded a 64 in
the third round. Piercy opened with rounds of 75-68, keeping him
from serious contention. Piercy won this season at the RBC Canadian
Open and has tallied four top 10s and 14 top 25s.
