No. 2 Luke Guthrie won in
back-to-back weeks in September.
The Web.com Tour season will come to close today at TPC Craig
Ranch, and there's a lot at stake for all 60 players in the field.
When the final putt drops at the Web.com Tour Championship, players
who finish in the top 25 on the money list will go home with PGA
TOUR cards for the 2013 season. Nos. 26-40 will be exempt into the
finals of PGA TOUR q-school and Nos. 39-60 will be fully exempt on
the Web.com Tour in 2013. There is even more at stake, though for
the player who finishes on top of the money list. The No. 1 player
will earn fully-exempt status for the 2013 season on the PGA TOUR,
as well as a spot in THE PLAYERS Championship. Casey Wittenberg
entered the week in the top spot thanks to two wins this season,
and starts the day in a tie for eighth. Keep an eye on Luke Guthrie
and Russell Henley, each also with two wins this season and within
striking distance of No. 1. Guthrie made his way to second on the
money list with only nine starts on Tour this year. The winner of
the tournament takes home $180,000.
