Richard H. Lee entered this week
No. 153 on the money list.
To say the least, this is an important day for players such
as Richard H. Lee and Tim Herron. Lee and Herron entered the J.T.
Shriners Hospitals for Children Open outside the top 125 on the
money list and in need of some quality play in the final four
events of the season in order to obtain their PGA TOUR card for
2013. So far, so good. Lee opened with four birdies in his first
six holes on Sunday and was
projected to move up some 20 spots on the money
list. Herron was just opening his round, finishing Round 3 tied
for fourth -- five shots back of the leaders. He was
projected to move to No. 125 on the money
list. Lee had just one top 25 this season until he stringed
together a T12 and T14 at the Reno-Tahoe Open and Wyndham
Championship. He recently tied for second at the Albertsons Boise
Open Presented by Kraft on the Web.com Tour. Herron has had only
two top 25s, including a T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational
presented by MasterCard. Herron is seeking his first victory today
since 2006.
