SEASON IN REVIEW: Piercy won for the second time in as many years when he fired a course-record 62 in the first round of the RBC Canadian Open on the way to a one-stroke win. The victory was one of three top-5 finishes for the Las Vegas native. Piercy, who came into the BMW Championship ranked 29th in the FedExCup, shot a final-round 68 but was still projected out of the top 30 when he finished. But Piercy got the last spot in the field for the TOUR Championship when Vijay Singh, who had started the final round tied for the lead, bogeyed three of his last four holes. Piercy will be making his debut at East Lake. – Helen Ross

ALBERS’ QUICK TAKE: Fred Albers, on-course
correspondent for SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio, provides a quick look at
Piercy:
A very confident player. From Las Vegas and not afraid to
take gambles with aggressive play during a round. A very
talented player who will win several more times.
