Kelly in rare position

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. -- A couple of years ago, it looked like Troy Kelly might not ever play golf again.

One arthritic hip and some nerves of steel later, he leads by one with three holes left in regulation at The Greenbrier Classic.

Ted Potter Jr. is right behind him, however, after an eagle on the par-5 17th.

Charlie Wi is another stroke back, but he’s already in the clubhouse. Charlie Beljan is also 14 under. He has one hole to play.

Webb Simpson? His day is eerily similar to last year’s final round when he stepped to the 10th tee with a one-shot lead -- and proceeded to bogey three of his next seven holes.

This time, Simpson has bogeyed four of his last five holes to fall short again.
