Clark finds water on 18

Tim Clark was a bogey-free 3 under through 17 holes. But at the par-4 18th, his tee shot found the fairway bunker on the right side … and things got worse from there. His shot out of the bunker found the water running down the left side of the fairway. “I just slipped,” Clark said about his second shot. “My right foot slipped. I caught it heavy and anything down the left side is going into the water.” The result was a double bogey that left him with a 1-under 69. Still, a good start for the South African, who has battled injury problems since his breakthrough year in 2010 when he won THE PLAYERS Championship. “I’m getting closer every time I come out here and play,” Clark said.
