Thompson comes off his best career finish on the PGA TOUR, a tie for second place at last week’s U.S. Open at The Olympic Club. He shot 66 in the first round and 67 in the final round, the lowest scores in the field in each of those rounds.

A year ago, Thompson shot a career-low 62 in the final round of the Travelers Championship to finish tied for fourth.
