PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Tiger Woods’ struggles with the putter seem to have sorted themselves out, at least a little bit here in the third round.
Woods just made the turn in 2 under, which gets him to 3 under for the tournament, after three birdies and just one bogey.
The three birdies came from 7, 20 and 5 feet on Nos. 3, 4, and 7, and he’s taken 13 putts through his first nine holes. He’s also missed just on putt from inside 10 feet. That came on the second hole, where Woods missed the green right, left himself 5 feet for par and slid it past the hole for his only bogey.
Still, Woods has a long way to go to get in contention here at five shots off the current lead. Stay tuned.
