Mickelson, Bradley par the third

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley escaped the third hole with pars after indifferent approach shots.

Mickelson had to two-putt from 58 feet, making a 4-footer for par while Bradley’s 42-footer ran 3 feet, 11 inches by. Molder found a greenside bunker with his second shot and was unable to save par when he blasted out to 26 feet.

Meanwhile, Jim Furyk has joined Molder and four others at 6 under. Furyk has birdied four of his first six holes to move within two of the lead. Also at 6 under are Jarrod Lyle, Dustin Johnson, Bill Haas and Par Perez.
