Bradley honors friend’s father

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – That big red heart Dustin Johnson, among others, is wearing on his hat has attracted considerable attention this week at the Northern Trust Open.

The heart is part of TaylorMade’s “Driver Love” campaign, and the promotion has made quite a splash.

Keegan Bradley, though, is making a more serious statement on his headgear. He’s written the initials “PC” on his visor in honor of his roommate Jon Curran’s dad, Peter, who died on Wednesday.

”I got a bunch of the guys ‑‑ a bunch of the guys put PC on their hats for Peter Curran.,” Bradley said. “… I kind of feel like I've got some good luck on my side. I know they're all watching. I'd love to go out there and play well for him and the Curran family tomorrow.”

Bradley starts Sunday’s final round of the Northern Trust Open tied with Phil Mickelson at 7 under, one stroke ahead of Bryce Molder, Pat Perez and Jonathan Byrd.
